Robyn from Daisy Quilts for hosting Colourful Fridays.

Sunsets

Glenelg Beach
Adelaide
 Broadbeach-Queensland

Murray River, Renmark
South Australia

The last three photos are virtually the same just taken about 5 minutes apart
I love taking photos of Sunsets and Sunrises, as they are
always so pretty and each sunset has its own uniquesness
(is that a word???............Oh well I'm using it)

Have a great day!

Daisy Baby

Well it won't be long now till the first bubby arrives, I think
the 19th May is the due date, we still dont know
what sex the baby is but I have one quilt ready.

Obviously suitable for a girl..............still working
on the boy quilt!

Fabric is Hushabye by Tula Pink, perfect for a little
girl

I made this quilt from a 5" Charm Pack x 2, by just measuring
in an inch from each side and cutting to the corners to create
the tumbler shape.
Very Easy.

I just thought after I had sewn it together that it needed a little
someting so I added the daisies using the raw edge
applique technique

I have quilted an edge to edge pattern called
Splat by Anne Bright

So heres hoping one of my nieces has a girl.

Hugs!

each year. If you haven't visited the festival before its a treasure trove of quilty goodness.
Go on have a look you know you want to here is the link
If you haven't visited my blog before then welcome, I am really excited to be participating this year.

Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme Quilt designed by
Kookaburra Cottage

I made this quilt at the request of a lovely lady named Pam
who asked if I could make a quilt to be Raffled for  CIKA (Cancer in Kids) at
the Royal Childrens Hospital here in Melbourne.

It took me about 3 months to make and quilt and I was very pleased
with the way it turned out. It also used a good lot of my scraps up and raised about $5000 for the hospital which was so amazing.

Happy Festival!

A Gardeners Journal

My Good friend Linda from Balranald came to visit
the other day to drop of her beautiful quilt for me to quilt.
As you can see mine does not have borders on yet as I am waiting
for fabric.
I so enjoyed the Stitch A Long in Blogland it certainly
encouraged me to keep going as I know I would of
lost interest and it would get buried in the bottom of cupboard.

Although I am a little behind I really appreciated the cheers
and encouragement from the other girls, it really kept me going.

Thanks Guys!
