Yummy Birthday!!

I feel very appreciated today as one of my

friends made me these beautiful cupcakes for my birthday.

White Chocolate and Raspberry, my favorite.

Thanks so much Leeanne they were delicious. I will admit

I have had more than one and am not really keen on sharing them with the family.

So Proud!!

Today I finished the Metro Medallion quilt. I have been waiting

patiently to get this off the frame so I can see the back.

I was so happy with how this has turned out, I was doing a

happy dance in my sewing room.

There is nothing like the satisfaction of seeing all your hard

work and time come together and work out how

you planned it.

The texture on this quilt is amazing and the back

I think I love more.

Once I get the binding on I will take better photos with my

camera and not just the phone, but I am too impatient, I am having trouble photographing this quilt

because of the black and the red on red, these photos really don't do it justice.

Metro Medallion update

Things are progressing nicely on this quilt at the moment

I'm about three quarters of the way finished with machine quilting

this, I have taken a photo of the back and changed it to black and 

white so it is easier to see.

Hoping to finish this earlier this week, unless my plans change with the quilting

(which is highly likely ha ha!!)

as I am making it up as I go.

We will see what happens, hopefully by the

end of the week I will have a finish.

Metro Medallion

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, this year has started off

very busy, which is why I haven't posted in a while

Busy quilting this quilt at the moment, decided to custom quilt it, not sure

exactly what the plan is, just making it up as I go.

Still deciding what to do in the black blocks, I

might use red thread as Black can be hard on the eyes.

Just hoping It all works out as I thinks its going to.
